What is the Democratic Dashboard?

The Democratic Dashboard provides easy-to-understand information to voters and in-depth analysis with robust data about the UK elections in May 2016.

The Dashboard brings together various databases to provide definitive information for voters in the devolved, Mayoral, local and police and crime commissioner elections in May 2016.

In the run up to the 2015 General Election, more than 200,000 people used the Dashboard to find information about the election in their area.

The Dashboard is a project of the Democratic Audit, based in the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE). The Dashboard was established in 2015.

What elections will be covered by the Dashboard in May 2016?

The Democratic Dashboard covers all UK elections taking place on 5 May 2016. These are:

Elections to the Scottish Parliament, Northern Ireland Assembly, Welsh Assembly and Greater London Assembly.

Mayoral elections in London, Liverpool, Bristol and Salford.

40 police and crime commissioner elections in England.

124 local council elections in England.

The Dashboard will also cover two UK Parliamentary by-elections.
